Path4Med: Key Player at the European Mission Soil Week 2024 in Brussels
15 November 2024The 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝟒𝐌𝐞𝐝 project was showcased at the prestigious Agrifood Forum 2024, recently held in Lithuania. This annual event brought together experts, innovators, and leaders from the agri-food sector to discuss sustainable solutions for the future of agriculture. It was a unique opportunity to promote the principles of digital innovation, sustainability, and inclusion, which are central to the growth of the global agri-food industry.
During the forum, our partner Reframe Food presented 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝟒𝐌𝐞𝐝, addressing one of the most pressing challenges in the agri-food sector: nutrient pollution in the agro-hydrological systems of the Mediterranean. The presentation highlighted how the project is leveraging innovation and collaboration to promote sustainable solutions, with a strong emphasis on international cooperation.
Here are some of the main topics discussed during the event:
- Digital Innovation for Agri-food Transformation: The forum explored how emerging technologies can enhance the efficiency and sustainability of agricultural systems, reducing environmental impacts and fostering economic growth.
- Bioeconomy and Regenerative Practices for Sustainability: Discussions focused on how bioeconomy could offer a solution to reduce the environmental impact of agriculture through the use of renewable resources and the promotion of regenerative agricultural practices.
- Inclusive Leadership and Empowerment of Women in Agriculture: A key theme of the event was the importance of inclusive leadership, particularly supporting the empowerment of women in the agricultural sector, a topic that is gaining increasing attention globally.
The 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝟒𝐌𝐞𝐝 project perfectly fits into this context, sharing a commitment to more sustainable and digitized agriculture. Innovation is at the heart of 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝟒𝐌𝐞𝐝, which focuses on developing technologies and methodologies to improve water and soil quality, reduce waste, and promote long-term sustainability. In this context, networking with other experts, institutions, and businesses is crucial for the development of joint projects and for tackling global challenges together.
Stay tuned for further updates on how our project is contributing to building a more sustainable future for agri-food and the Mediterranean!
