Policy and capacity mapping

Development of a map and global database describing current policies, farming practices and support services in target regions, enabling stakeholders to identify barriers and opportunities in implementing new approaches.

Policy-enabled modelling platform

Creation of an integrated platform allowing policy analysis and environmental management at scales from farm to EU levels, supporting timely risk assessments and response strategies for the benefit of both farmers and policy-makers.

Innovative monitoring technologies

Introduction of advanced monitoring systems, including DNA-based indicators, Earth observation tools and IoT sensors. These technologies accurately track the sources and impacts of pollution, enabling better water and nutrient management.

Solutions for precision agriculture

Development of a toolbox and location-based tools for precision irrigation and nutrient management. Adapted to local conditions these tools help farmers reduce the environmental impact of agriculture on water bodies.

Demonstration sites and lighthouses

10 demonstration sites and 3 lighthouses will show successful practices and innovative solutions in real-life contexts, illustrate the feasibility and scalability of sustainable practices in various Mediterranean landscapes.

Community and stakeholder involvement

Involving more than 10,000 citizens, including young people and marginalised groups, in pollution reduction initiatives and sustainable agricultural practices. The community-oriented approach enables local actors to take meaningful action: least 5 partner regions to demonstrate in additional geographical areas the feasibility, replicability and upscaling potential of the solutions developed within the project through a wide range of clustering activities and financial support for the replication and demonstration of the solutions with an open call.

Educational and policy development

Training to PhD students and developed future policy recommendations aimed at food security, resilience and environmental protection, with tools to promote sustainable agriculture at local and community levels.
